The US Senate on Wednesday voted 66-30 in favor of a legislation to repeal the 1991 and 2002 authorizations for use of force in Iraq.

For the legislation to become law, it must pass the Republican-led House of Representatives to be sent afterwards to US President Joe Biden to sign it.

Biden said he would sign the measure if it reaches his desk.
