Palestinian Foreign Ministry: Settler Attacks on Towns, Villages, Communities Are War Crimes

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attacks and violations of settlers on Palestinian citizens, their lands, properties and homes in the occupied West Bank and Occupied East Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry said in a press statement on Sunday that settler attacks in Palestinian towns, villages and communities rise to the level of war crimes against humanity for which international law in held accountable.

The ruling coalition in the Israeli entity adopts the crimes of settler organizations and their terrorist elements – allowing these militias to steal more Palestinian lands and allocate them in favor of deepening and expanding settlements within the framework of the gradual annexation of the West Bank, the statement said.

The daily attacks of the settlers come as a direct result of the statements and positions of the staff of the ruling coalition, especially the incitement calls of the two Israeli extremists Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich and Minister of National Security Ben Gvir, in addition to the support and protection provided by the military occupation institution to those militias, and their encouragement to commit more violations, crimes, and shoot-to-kill operations against Palestinian citizens, the statement added.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed its call to Security-General of the United Nations and all countries to place settlement organizations that commit crimes against Palestinian citizens on their terrorist list, and demanded a firm international stance that forces the occupying power to dismantle the settler armed militias, dry up their sources of funding, and hold them accountable for their crimes before it is too late.

In recent weeks, the Israeli occupation forces and settlers have escalated raids and incursions into Palestinian villages and towns in the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem.
