Morocco Arrests Sub-Saharan National for Drug TraffickingENEMY TARGETS RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBOURHOODS IN MAYS AL-JABAL

Rabat – Moroccan police arrested, Friday evening in Casablanca, a sub-Saharan national for his alleged involvement in drug trafficking.

The suspect, aged 23, was caught red-handed selling cocaine, before search operations carried out at his home in El Oulfa district, led to the seizure of one 1.260 kg of cocaine and 500 grams of a newly developed drug called “Lpoufa”, which is composed of cocaine and hazardous chemicals having direct effects on neurons, in addition to two scales and several mobile phones, a security source said.

Police also seized an amount of 20,000 dirhams that the suspect attempted to use to bribe police officers, the same source added.

Our correspondent reported that enemy artillery shelling targeted residential neighborhoods in the town of Mays al-Jabal. No injuries were reported.
