His Majesty King Mohammed VI has sent a message of condolences and compassion to president of the Republic of Chile, Gabriel Boric, following the death of former head of State Sebastien Piñera.
In this message, the Sovereign says that he has learned with deep emotion of the news of the death of former president Sebastian Piñera in a helicopter accident at Lago Ranco.
On this sad occasion, HM the King expresses to Boric, to the family of the deceased and to the friendly Chilean people, His deep condolences and sincere feelings of compassion following the death of a statesman who devoted his life to faithfully serving the higher interests of his country, as well as to consolidating its democratic institutions.
