European stocks closed higher at the end of Thursday’s trading.
The Stoxx 600 index closed up 0.8 percent after a two-day decline, while stock markets in most major markets including France and Italy headed higher.
The German DAX index ended trading Thursday at an all-time high.
In turn, defense industry stocks led the sectoral gains, up 2.6 percent, while financial services, banking and manufactured goods stocks were among the best performers.
