Buenos Aires, An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale hit the province of Neuquen in west-central Argentina on Tuesday.
In a statement, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said that the earthquake occurred 81 kilometers from the Barrancas, Neuquen, at a depth of 170.3 kilometers.
There have been no reports of casualties or material damage due to the earthquake so far.
In July, a 6.6-magnitude earthquake struck the Loncopue, Neuquen, at a depth of 171.4 kilometers.
